Vacation, Paid Holidays, and Personal Days
Vacation:
- Accrual: Employees earn vacation based on their length of service:
1 year: 1 week 2 years: 2 weeks 5 years: 3 weeks 10 years: 4 weeks
- Eligibility: Available to Full-Time and Part-Time employees. Temporary workers are not eligible.
- Scheduling: Submit vacation requests in advance (1 week for 1-week vacations, 2 weeks for 2-week vacations, etc.). Vacation time may be designated during peak periods like Christmas/New Year’s.
- Pay: Calculated based on weekly hours. Unused vacation pay is provided up to 2 weeks upon leaving the company. Vacation cannot be carried over from year to year.
Paid Holidays:
- Holidays: The following holidays are paid:
New Year’s Day Labor Day
Good Friday Thanksgiving Day
Memorial Day Christmas Day
4th of July
- Eligibility: Full-time employees and full-time probationary employees are eligible. To qualify, employees must work their full shifts before and after the holiday, or provide a doctor’s note if sick. Early departure on the days before or after holidays without supervisor approval disqualifies holiday pay.
Personal Time:
- Allocation: Full-time hourly, permanent, temporary, and salaried employees receive:
- 16 hours per calendar year if active on January 1st or hired before July 1st.
- 8 hours if hired on or after July 1st.
- Usage: Must be used within the calendar year and cannot be carried over. Scheduling must be approved by your supervisor, with requests made at least one week in advance if used around holidays or vacations. Time must be taken in increments of at least 30 minutes, with longer periods in 1-hour increments.
