Quality Assurance Technician
Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Department- 550 QC
Schedule- 1st shift (6am – 2pm)
Posting Date: 3/31/2022
Pay Range: Pay commensurate with experience
Reason: Replacement Position
Key Duties
- To ensure inspections for all manufacturing activities including: receiving of raw materials, first piece production, new product approvals, in process production, customer product submissions and various manufacturing support.
- Monitor gage maintenance activities to ensure gage and test equipment calibration are in compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Assist department with all aspects of ISO 9001:2015 implementation and enforcement.
Experience Required
- Prior experience operating measurement and testing equipment desirable.
- Experience collecting and presenting data in detailed reports.
- Strong mathematical and statistics background will serve the candidate well
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

OEM Sales Rep
Job Title: OEM Sales Rep
Department: 800 Sales & Marketing
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Pay Range: $45,000 - $60,000 (pay commensurate with experience)
Job Summary
The OEM Sales Representative will operate under the direct guidance of the OEM Sales Director for the MH & ITW business unit. Their primary objective will be to support the OEM Sales team in expanding sales and capturing a larger market share within the OEM segment. This role entails implementing the sales strategy within their assigned area of responsibility, with specific sales targets for each customer segment.
To achieve these goals, the individual will collaborate closely with internal resources at Superior, including Engineering, Production, and Sales departments. By leveraging these resources, the OEM Sales Representative will ensure the needs of the OEM accounts are not only met but exceeded. Moreover, they will actively maintain and enhance the existing business unit segment while also seeking out new prospects to further augment Superior's market share.
Key Duties
- Partners with sales leadership to identify business growth opportunities that grow Superior’s OEM business.
- Conduct customer visits (either in person or virtually) to support sales growth, including account reviews, training sessions, and short/long-term strategy planning.
- Professionally represent Superior Tire & Rubber at assigned trade shows.
- Provide an excellent customer experience and offer in-field application analysis and troubleshooting to support OEM customers.
- Prepare and justify quotes for existing and new products based on customer requests.
- Act as an internal advocate for your customer’s accounts to ensure deliveries are on time and defect-free.
- Ensure the highest level of excellence in maintaining OEM reporting scorecards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to meet customer needs.
- Prioritize OEM projects that maximize Superior's revenue and profit.
- Implement testing of new products at OEMs and track progress, ensuring clear understanding of results for Superior and the customer.
- Gather competitive market data, including pricing, market share, and business terms, and present findings to the leadership team and marketing analyst.
- Assist in acquiring competitive products for evaluation and testing when required.
- Regularly report competitive information.
Experience Required
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales, business-related degree a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Experience working with a CRM (Salesforce)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.

Engineering Technician

Job Summary
As an Engineering Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing modeling, drafting, and engineering support to our group. Your primary responsibilities will include creating technical drawings, assisting in cost estimates and material specifications, conducting basic load calculations, and supporting prototyping and testing for engineering or plant projects.
Key Duties
- Utilize 3D modeling software to create technical drawings and prints for new or modified items within existing product families.
- Prepare cost estimates, raw material specifications, quotes, Bill of Materials (BOM) setup, and item entry for manufacturing purposes.
- Perform basic load calculations, testing services, and prepare technical reports to support engineering projects.
- Provide sales support by assisting in the creation of technical documents and participating in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the engineering team in prototyping and testing activities as required.
- Attend internal and external meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination across teams.
Experience Required
- Education/Skills: You should have an associate degree or trade certification in a relevant field or possess significant practical work experience. Proficiency in technical drawing, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) is essential.
- Experience: You should have practical experience in completing technical tasks and projects outside of academic requirements, which may include internships, co-ops, or related job functions. You may have up to 5 years of experience in technical service or a similar role, including limited supervisory experience.
- Key Skills: You must have a high level of CAD proficiency and be skilled in drafting, blueprint reading, and geometric tolerancing. Strong communication and presentation skills are required for effective internal and external communications. Proficiency in computer and office applications such as MS Office is necessary. A basic understanding of major manufacturing processes, including machining and welding, is preferred.
