Superior Tire & Rubber Corp. manufactures the patented STR Caster series of shock absorbing, stabilizer casters for all makes of pallet jacks and forklifts.  The caster uses an innovative polyurethane spring to give better cornering and smoother ride over dock boards. Superior also offers heavy duty swivel and rigid casters for powered industrial equipment.

The aftermarket STR caster offers a linear deflection up to 2" of travel at 1,400 lbs. of load.  This prevents the bottoming out and the rough ride found with casters using mechanical springs.  The polyurethane spring is designed to provide millions of cycles before wearing, avoiding softening found in steel spring designs.  The 4" O.D. x 2.5" wide poly load wheel was chosen for its high cut and tear resistance, ease of swiveling and high carrying capacity. Custom OEM load vs deflection designs available.

Standard STR CasterFor after-market users, the casters' 3 adjustable axle settings with a fine height adjustment screw allow for field modification without shimming or taking the caster off truck.  The four STR caster models, which cover all makes of pallet jacks, use common components allowing the dealer to service all models of trucks with just a change of side plates.

Constructed to eliminate steel bending and minimize welding in the frame, finite element analysis and extensive field trials have confirmed that the .25" steel design provides a mechanical strength equal to the .375" steel casters currently on the market.

The caster comes standard chromed with sealed bearings and a string guard.  The best part?  Because Superior makes all the casters' components (except the bearings), the caster is the lowest priced caster in its class while maintaining heavy duty performance.
